Research, Development & Evaluation

Research and evaluation is an important part of the Healthy Universities process. By examining how well our interventions and programmes are working and exploring how and why some things work well and others don’t, we can generate evidence of effectiveness and contribute to learning and improvement. This section of the website offers an introduction to evaluation and also provides overviews of research and development projects that have taken place since the Network was established.

Evaluating Healthy Universities

Whilst it is commonly agreed that evaluation should be an integral part of all planned activities and programmes, there are many different perspectives as to why evaluation is important.
