Toolkit & Resources

The UK Healthy Universities Network Toolkit is designed to support institutions wishing to adopt and/or embed a whole system Healthy Universities approach. It is structured in four sections: Self-Review Tool – which provides a mechanism for universities to review and reflect on progress in embedding a whole system approach to health and wellbeing into their core business and culture; Making the Case and Getting Started – template presentations for adaptation and use; Guidance Packages – designed to support institutions at all stages in their journeys; and Case Studies – which offer ‘real life’ examples of activity.

Self-Review Tool

The online Self-Review Tool allows universities to review and reflect on progress in embedding a whole system approach to health and wellbeing into their core business and culture.

Making the Case & Getting Started

This section provides access to template presentations for adaptation and use by universities wanting to argue the case for a Healthy Universities approach and starting out on their journey.

Guidance Packages

The Guidance Packages, produced in 2011-2012 as part of the HEFCE-funded project, are designed to support institutions at all stages in their journeys.

Case Studies

The Case Studies offer ‘real life’ examples of ‘Healthy Universities’ activity implemented in universities across the country. You are also invited to submit a new case study.
