Making the Case & Getting Started
Many higher education institutions undertake activities to promote health and wellbeing within their organisations. However, these activities are often piecemeal and lack strategic coordination. The Healthy Universities model advocated by the Network applies a whole university approach, with a focus on embedding health and wellbeing within and across organisations.
In order to get started, it is essential to engage and secure buy-in and leadership from senior management – and to put in place a systematic operational planning and implementation process. This section of the website offers two template PowerPoint presentations, which can be tailored and adapted by individual universities.
The first presentation focuses on Making the Case for adopting a Healthy Universities approach.
The second presentation focuses on Getting Started and includes a process model, ideas about activities, and examples of structures and action plans to support Healthy University Coordinators and Healthy University steering groups.
